Season’s Greetings

There has been some sad, sad news of late, and although the holiday season will be a little less bright because of it, please take this time to hold your loved ones close and count your blessings.

  • Practice a random act of kindess in memory of someone you’ve lost, or someone you heard about on the television.
  • Forgive a grudge.
  • Apologize.
  • Say, “I love you. I’m proud of you. I appreciate you.”
  • Listen more carefully, speak more thoughtfully.
  • Give a gift anonymously with no need for a thank you.
  • Pet your dog.
  • Kiss your children.
  • Be kind to others.
  • Be kind to yourself.

Most of us are muddling through as best we can, so remember that the next time someone annoys you, cuts you off in traffic, forgets to respond to an email, says something hurtful, or treats you with indifference. Chances are that other person is just trying to get through their day, the same as you are.

Peace and contentment are contagious. Share it.
